  1. Hi,

The two retailers you spoke to, were right when they said that the boots should have some blocking material on the sides.

In fact the requirement is that the blocking material should be until 1cm from the feather line, which in most of the cases will be covered by the sole. So there's needed to be some blocking material on the sides of the boot, not only on the top of the foot -the metatarsal area.

  2. Hello there,

You're thinking of the old Elten's with the uncomfortable seams across the front oif the foot.

I've had the the xperts for a year now they are brill to climb in very comfortable ,take no breaking in but should have been bined a while ago .It's only the sole that seems to be the weak link .

Sorry, but the boots on this photo are not the experts.

  3. any details of whats to come am very interested in your boots had at least 4 pairs of lavaro persoally and always liked them as did other team members and would hate to get something else in the meantime so go on give us a clue or a sample or photo pm if desired

It will be a Class2 boot, with aluminium caps, all the rest will stay as the previous (Sympatex lining, PU/Rubber sole, etc.) except for the colours, it could be another black boot with a different colour replacing the orange, or a brown boot, what would you prefer?

It might send a photo of both options next week.

  4. nice lightweight boots that are nice and flexible have always loved the lavaro,s and am looking to return to them even though you can cut the toe cap the rest of the boot is similar in protection to all the others IMO and how many of you wear A,s when you know c,s are required or if not required they are safer.

    though am open to suggestions

    Hi Bob,

If you can wait a while, you might have some news reagarding new boots from Lavoro, with some more improvements, and keeping the same comfort as usual.

  5. Boots, the email was sent to the company, some time back, if you are part of the company, surely you are reading this forum and are free to comment on their behalf. It is of some concern to people who are the wearers of the product that they will not stop a chainsaw at the toecap. Surely you can respond to this. We need to know that PPE is SAFE to wear when using chainsaws. Thank you.

The Standard requirements are made to prevent accidents, and according with the European PPE Directive these boots are in conformity and pass the all the cutting tests including the test made on top of the Toe Cap.

This is a link to a real video, (not a home made one), of the cutting test made on the boots made by a Certified Technological Centre.

  6. Its quite some time now since I emailed Lavoro, and their lack of response speaks loudly. It shows to me a total lack of respect for those who use and buy their products. I, for one, will not buy their products simply on this basis.

    How did you contacted Lavoro?

By email? resend it to their email info, and for sure you'll get an answer.

  7.

Thats good to hear mate, its a shame lots of other companys don't follow your example!

On that note I'll be giving you a call when we need more ppe etc thats for sure...:icon14:
