I've had the brats for the weekend. Love them but they are turning into teenagers! Still waiting diagnosis. "What ifs" still abound.

Well, the next step has been taken. Took the powerful laxatives, had a day without much feed but plenty of fluids. Went to the bog a awful lot (didn't dare leave the house!) Had white fluid and air pumped in, loads of xrays followed by many more trips to the loo. Stomach cramps abated late afternoon. Now feel like I took a trip down a sandpaper bannister rail. Results of diagnosis to follow at a later date.

I've often read posts about tree health, machine maintanence, best kit and so on. Here's another thought. Best Kit? the body. Machine maintanence? body care. Tree Health? what about yours! Personally, I smoke too much, drink too much, eat too much of the wrong foods, do too little exercise and generally think I'll be okay. Just before christmas I had a colonoscopy, had blood taken and have been put forward for a Barium Enema. I've altered bowel habit and abdominal discomfort which could be the onset of bowel or stomach cancer. Over the christmas/new year holiday, my cool has been shaken by too many "What ifs"? What if that was my last Xmas and New Year? What if I never see my kids grow up? What if I have to give up work? What if I have to wear a colostomy bag? The point is, take care of you - the machine, before it gets to late. Eat the right foods groups and have fun in moderation, if you notice any changes in your habits or generally well being - seek advice. Get Help.
