I remember that assignment well!
Paulownia tomentosa has utterly gob-smacking blue/purple flowers any time soon, massive leaves- about 1" across!
Magnolia's an obvious one, good time to get some photo's.
Forythia's another looking gorgeous right now. Hope that gets you started, but I'd do as Andy says, take a walk round the streets and have a look in peoples gardens. Great for inspiration.
Best of luck

Still running slower than it was, but at least it's working. I'm in Somerset, but I'm from Yorkshire, does that count?
-
I remember it. Didn't they have to collect these strange coloured coin things. And if they stood on the wrong square on the board they were, indeed, vapourised. I thought it was real! But then I was very little! Can't remember the name, no. Put us out of our misery...
-
I've only known the first 2 lines of that poem for years. It was quoted in an old Terry Thomas/Alistair Simm movie: 'School for Scoundrels'- a work of genius!
Thanks for showing me the rest...
P.S. I've never seen an Elm that I can remember

Very good, i remember them showing a silky cut through a rope when i first started college. It sure makes you think.
Tom
I remember that!!
Scary stuff...

Someone told me recently that, due to the size of their wings in relation to their body, bumble bees shouldn't be able to fly at all.
Just out of (rather vague) interset...

Oh dear. It's all going wrong! Back on topic ladies before I get told off by Stevo.
(note to self: don't play with the boys)

Actually, it's not entirely true. But... he set me up! ;-) he he he

Wow! Great to see it emerge. I've seen one before... my friend used to get them every year on a piece of ground in his garden, right next to his swimming pool!! You can not believe how foul they are. As you can imagine, my heart bled for the poor little mite. Isn't life cruel...?

Has anyone got any experience of the free version of quick books? Is it any good?
-
I've laid upto 12" too!
he he he... sorry, couldn't help myself...
-
Yep. Me too!! A bit of sunshine does wonders! You wouldn't think it happened every year, would you. Oh well, little things...
-
and you quoted me in that because...?
perhaps it's you that's the no brainer.
-
Yeah, I've had one before and it is just a bunch of locals in high-viz with a speed gun. They just forward it to the filth then they write to you. As they (the filth) didn't actually see you, they can't prosecute.

I'm such a girl!!! There was me thinking it said 'roadside cravings'
Hello....
...and welcome.
Nice work.

Yeah was pretty lame really after all the arbtalk hype! Like Hancock said, can't believe they went ahead and let them mangle the tree up, all for a tv show ??? And as for that presenter bloke...what a jockey!
-
Where did you get a monkey that big?
-
Thankyou, kind Sir

It's when you think the kids look crap. My God, the kids look crap!!!

cutting in dec-jan? wouldnt dare potter round my contracts on a ride-on mower. dont think they'd like the nice lawns ripped up...
Stop ya mythering. 8yrs. Perfect lawns every time. And who mentioned a ride-on?
-
A bit early why? If the grass is growing, you cut it. Simple. I did my first cut of the year last week and my contracts have always stipulated one cut in december, january and february. That's what my clients ask for. What's the worst that can happen?
-
And where were my birthday wishes a week ago? My condolensces (?) Graham, another Pisces. Tis a troubled life...

Nevermind all that, who's Robin Beard?

When I first read the title of this thread I was thinking "contradiction in terms".
However, I stand corrected. Great shots.
