  1. The big firms don't seem to pay as much as firms with say 1-2 trucks but if you' re looking for experience the big firms are the way to go. I moved to London 18 months ago with little experience and started with a big firm on £9 an hour sub contract. I have moved on to a smaller company since.
  2. Expanding Tree firm based in Ealing is after a driver/groundsman to drive 3.5 ton truck with chipper. Chainsaw tickets an advantage but not essential. Call Tom on 07739746502
  3. Have used roundup and amicide in the past but only use salt now
  4. I've been using the treeflex for a couple of months now and really liking it. My previous harness was a Buckingham with a seat which was very bulky, this is my first leg loop harness and is light and comfortable. Still getting used to the short bridge and I may modify that yet. I think I was sold on the ergonomics

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
