  1. I would like to invite all Arbtalk subscribers and visitors to an event we are hosting at Coles Nurseries, Leicestershire on Thursday 11 September 2008. Experience trees and shrubs, with practical advice from a bank of nursery experts at UNEARTHED - THE ESSENTIAL GUIDE TO TREES AND SHRUBS - an interactive hands-on display of UK nursery stock from small shrubs to extra heavy standard trees for UK landscaping and planting schemes. The day will incorporate practical demonstrations, seminars and nursery tours as well as enabling the visitor to experience “nursery stock” at first hand, unlocking the mysteries of plant specification and quizzing the growers themselves! It will also provide an ideal platform for networking with other industry professionals. Key speakers will conduct seminars on the National Plant Specification, planting practices and the latest technology in the arboricultural field. To find out more and to register, please visit http://www.unearthedlive.co.uk Thanks to Steve for allowing me to notify you all of this in this manner and I hope to meet some of you there! Regards Lynn Hunter, Coles Nurseries http://www.colesnurseries.co.uk
  2. Stumbled across you via the UK Tree Care Forum - good to keep in touch with what's going on!
  3. First time poster! Just wondered where people involved in arboriculture would look for new jobs? We grow trees and shrubs to supply the landscaping industry and potentially want to advertise a new job opportunity and want to get the best and most relevant audience. We've used horticultural colleges and Horticulture Week for recruitment. Where have you searched? Thanks for your help, like the forum. Lynn

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
