  1. hmm my only concern looking at some of these setups is that as we all know camb savers can be fickle items and hands up even with standard set up it has managed to get stuck up the tree in a tight crotch or such like and with the added size of a krab or pulley on the end raises the chances of this happening or is it just me being a muppet?

    1 within Arb .thankfully underweight and tank dip just was an old k reg transit with brush on back but was mentioned it should be sheeted/netted :)

     

    3 times as a lgv driver again all stisfactory apart from minor items (side light gone ,curtain side hook broken and flapping etc)

  3. A friend had a 357xpg etech with same problem, it needed more fuel on the low-jet ,,,

    if the saw/saws have a carb with limiters on the screws I recommend you to cut off the tabs/wings on the screws so you can set the carb as you like !

     

    sounds about right as the saw warms up so does the carb and when it is warm/hot the fuel in the carb will evaporate quicker and if running lean on the bottom end this will cause poor starting. if you wish to play with the settings do it 1/8th of a turn at a time ( to make it leaner(less fuel) you go inwards to make it richer (more fuel ) outwards

    mind you saying that one of the best screwdriver "bit"(ok lost a few bits but replaced ) sets i've ever used and still use after must be 11 years cost me £9.99 from Halfords i think ( not their range of pro tools just a shelf filler)

     

    Draper used to be good but in my opinion they have not really produced a decent quality tool for about 20 years .

  7. i would write to the graveyard manager ( i forget what they are called) and explain that in order for you to remove this down to ground level that it will require them to first of all obtain permission from the graves owners ( the relatives/etc not the ones in situ ) and then also explain that you will have to have the railings and the grave monuments that are visible removed by them so that you are not held responsible for any damage caused to those parts and as for getting it down low its going to be a case of cut and hope i suppose that there is no further obstructions inside the actual wood as im sure you know marble and chainsaws do not mix and is a sure fire way to kill a chain. ..

    hope this helps and do as you have done so already shed loads of photos of all aspects of surrounding damage is amazing how many "new" wobbly headstones are about after treework has been done lol ;)

  8. on my way home tonight some ****** smashed my wing mirror clean off.does any body know of anywhere where i might be able to get a drivers side wing mirror for a 52 plate iveco turbo daily.

    any help would be appreciated

    imo petrol is about the easiest way the tank cleaning products you can get are a nightmare to get rid of all the residue that can harm the engine oil tanks you can use a degreaser in with it and then run thinner oil as a clearout (motor oil etc ) oil through it to remove the degreaser residue ..

     

    air lines can damage the pumps / carbs internals if used to fiercely on them ( i know i will get the posts of i always use n air line etc but this is my opinion and if you dont like it :aetsch::bootyshake::321:

Friend who earlier on in the year sliced his hand open and damaged the tendons asked if i would do a job for him as he didnt think that he would be able to do it as he can climb a bit but still not right so i said yes the helpful fool i am asked him the job basically re pollarding a willow back to previous points only done 2 years ago ,customer wants it done their way .....what he failed to mention before i agreed and got therebwas that they wanted the ivy left intact:cussing:

  11. think about it even if you priced it @ £100 per tree that would be £2300 so that i would suggest is your minimum especially if you have to reduce minimum of 87ft per tree remove brash clean up etc

     

    but as said without knowing the site or full details second hand pricing can be impossible ....

  12. i think after hearing of the one who paid £83k on children in need to see them i think he gave the right left and the dangly bit and the rights to even think of using them lol .... would have loved it but as you say watch the press ....... but if im sure it will still be expensive :scared:

  13. getting faster in the tree comes with time and experience just concentrate on doing the job safely and as easily as possible dont think because jimbo is racing aound the stems like a primate on amphetamine that you can do the same or even HAVE to do the same . Work on your positioning and movement around the tree im sure there are lots of us who have tried to leap before we limb walk and regretted it in one way or another ( cuts ,bruises etc etc ) all because of trying to get the job done too quickly ....

    When have you got cs39 ?

  14. I found that the tree was lacking in suitable anchor points for my cambium saver.

     

    if possible double wrap it \round the stem and even though it is not retriavable it provides a good firm anchor point on thin/ unavailable anchor point stems and seeing as its a dismantle no need to have the retrieve as you got nothing to cvlimb down onto . my cam saver is the 1.3 mtr one sometimes its too long but on jobs like that it has its benefits as being able to wrap it ...
