  1. Didn't plant it. Told cant take down completely in one go as will cause heave. Was reduced by a tree surgeon this year and as I said not that happy with what they did. I thought this was a genuine site for advice, but obviously not from your responses.
  2. London, clay soil.
  3. Was advised of possible subsidence by surveyor, who also said not to remove completely in case of heave. Can anyone answer is it safe to reduce again so soon?
  4. I have two Ash very close to house (purchased last year) and they were reduced by 4 m in Feb this year, probably a third of height. Can they be reduced again this Autumn/late winter, or too soon? Dont want to remove completely, due to possibility of heave, or reduce too quickly but not that happy with the shape at the time, but they have produced new foliage this summer. Will it be safe to reduce again this autumn and/or is heave more to do with total removal of trees? Will reducing in height over time help with possibility of subsidence (none so far).
