  1. How’d you do a 1/4” pitch setup? can you tune the 362?
  2. Thinking of replacing my 201TC with something new, and the echo’s have been top on my list as I’ve heard they’re super lightweight and can be tuned to be proper screamers. there’s a CS2511 and a CS362, has anyone used either of these and can confirm if they’re good for medium tree take downs etc? Or any other recommendations? Cheers
  3. I’m a computer from Zanzibar
  4. That’s some serious work man good on you: might give that a go if I’m ever in a similar situation
  5. On an ash tree earlier today, reduction. One limb was spread quite long and up at a real sh!t angle. And being ash it’s not the grippiest tree (not tryna make excuses) Obviously I done the donkey ride like usual- nuts squashed successfully. I had to cut it where I could in the end but my question is, is there any other methods of getting across awkward limbs? cheers
  6. Both in real world and in a spiking rescue assessment (cs38) I understand it’s beneficial to have a false anchor. I personally have always just done spiking jobs with just a lanyard, but if a it’s an easily tied anchor I will start to use, and also I will need to do it for my cs38. Anyone could explain what a belay system involves as well? Cheers
  7. Thanks for that mate. Could a lanyard not count as a secondary line? Or it has to be 2 full blown main lines? If so, surely it’s allowed to ascend the tree on one line, and then tie in your second whilst up there? Cheers tho mate
  8. Hi people. I’m used to climbing MRS no SRT experience whatsoever. And always using one main line and a lanyard. also I’ve never used a cambium saver. I’m going for my 38 soon and just want to know exactly what to expect. Will I be expected to rescue a climber using 2 lines? Will I be expected to use a cambium saver for each line? How much time do they allow you to get your line into the tree. And finally high up the tree will the rescue dummy be situated? I’ve also heard of people using spikes on their CS38. If anyone could let me know that’d be awesome. Cheers
  9. Thinking of trading in my current BMW for something I can use as a family car and for small tree work and hedging jobs. Obviously looking for double cabs- either a ranger, Hilux, X class or similar- but being double cab they have a bed length of around 1.5 metres, which is borderline being cable to have more than 2 tonne bags bagged up with leaves in it, stacked ontop of eachother. a 3.5 tonne truck is a bit excessive for me at the moment and insurance and parking is a bit of a problem! anyone else used a pick up or have any thoughts about it all? Cheers
