  1. Whenever I come across old tree trunks, I see potential—not waste. I've repurposed them into rustic benches, planter bases, even carved stools. If the wood’s solid, turning it into slabs or milling for live-edge furniture is a great option. Otherwise, letting them decay naturally supports habitat and fungi. It really depends on species, condition, and your tools or vision.
  2. I’ve worked extensively with both Timberwolf and GreenMech, and while Timberwolf has the edge in raw performance and resale value, GreenMech wins on noise level and maintenance ease. For domestic jobs or tight spaces, I’d lean toward GreenMech. But if you need reliability under constant heavy loads, Timberwolf is a beast. Depends on the crew, job type, and local dealer support.
  3. I spent two seasons working in Australia and it was a solid move—great pay, good crews, and plenty of work if you’re reliable and qualified. Sydney and Brisbane had the most opportunities back then. Visa-wise, it’s more paperwork now, but still doable. Anyone considering it should line up jobs in advance and check state-specific licensing. Worth the effort!
