  1. Hello newbie to site, sorry if this has been discussed in the past! Just bought my first stump grinder, a new SC292, I have a couple belt tensioning questions.... First, is it common that people use the belt tensioning tool that Vermeer provides? Or is it more common that most people just go by feel?? It seems using the tool, torque wrench and judging belt deflection seems like quite the process!! Secondly, is it safe to say that having belts be more on the loose side rather than on the tight side is better?
