  1. Just read your comments as this is the first time, did not know how to navigate around site and still learning. I am 68 and need more practice. Sorry for not getting back sooner but appreciate all your feedback.
  2. Sorry guys I had a Typo in my first submission. The Forest is 16.5 acres not 10.(over 5 Hectors) Not that that matters in my understanding as the 5 Hector rule is for agricultural act not forestry. My main problem is theft as it is remote and have been broke into 3 times now. I even have the guys who stole may trailer on film, they use what the police said is a criminal pool car ( Kept hidden and just used to steal) I want to house Chemical toilet, drying room, tea station Forestry tools, Machinery - small digger, dumper, trailer. All need to be locked away inside containers. This along with a work shop for processing fire wood and fence poles. Everything is for the use of forestry work. I have a Woodland management plan and working with the Forestry Commission. I am a retired Carpenter and just want to look after the woodland and it needs a lot of work. I think the 6 Containers (6M -20Ft)stacked on top of each other would be perfect to keep things safe and suitable welfare facilities. Does anyone know of any case law with regard to this as an example of what has been approved or refused in the past.
  3. I have bought 10 acres of woodland planted in the mid 70s. All Norway spruce and Douglas fir with a few scattered Birch. Can anyone give advice on the best way to obtain Permission from the local authority to put 6 Shipping containers in the centre of the Woodland to keep equipment and provide shelter and a workshop. I intend to clad the containers in timber planks and paint to roofs Green/ Brown. The 6 Containers will be stacked 2 high at 5m with office and shelter on top and storage of tools and equipment below. The use will be for forestry use only and positioned as follows. Further than 80m in all 4 directions to boundary, further than 3 Kilometres from any Aerodrome and more than 25m from the road access. From what I have read this comes under Permitted Development Right but how do I approach the Local Authority for approval.
