  1. Got another question (apologies😅). I posted these pictures on a different thread, not sure if any of you guys commented. Couple of pictures of some logs I've already split, separate from my previous pictures. Wondered if you could help me out with the I.D. Some say Willow? Others Oak, Sycamore lol. Image 1 and 3 are the same load (I think 🤔)
  2. I'll get it done Monday then, bark stripped, split, covered and off the ground.... gonna be a long day😒
  3. Amazing, maybe when I cut it on Monday I'll add some close up pictures, bother you all again😁. Thanks Sime
  4. Thanks everyone, excuse my ignorance but what is "Top drawer hard ident" . Happy that it might be ash😁
  5. Hello, I have access to the following trees for firewood, I have no idea what they are and I'm hoping for some help with their identification. I'll be taking them it's just a matter of what I keep and what I give away to my friends lol. Apologies for the poor picture, it was icy, cold and wet so I didn't hang around too long. Thanks
  6. Great, ill probably keep it 18 months to get the best out of it then. It's off the ground and protected from rain in the winter. I'm still hoping it's Ash ( clearly not 😆)......
  7. Thanks both, I read Willow is not great, but it's free, so winner winner chicken dinner. What about seasoning time?
  8. Right, been out this morning in better light! Picture 1 and 2 (white tarpaulin in background) are the same load which I got a few months ago. Picture 3 and 4 are the same load which I got a few days ago. I took some of the outside bark off picture 4 which revealed a reddish skin underneath. Hopefully better pictures, thanks for everyone's help so far.
  9. I'm just gonna hope it's Ash😁, I'll try and take a few pictures and post tomorrow. Thanks everyone so far
