  1. Hi, I was removing leaves from my lawn this morning and noticed fungus at the base of my copper beech tree. Never been present before and tree has been perfectly healthy, no dead branches or anything else to note. I am not an expert so thought I would check to see if this is a reason to be concerned as the tree is only around 20 feet or so from our house. Google search suggests it could mean root rot which would be a massive shame as its a beautiful tree and provides lovely shade for the kids on this side of the garden. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Alex
