  3. Hi guys, I currently work as a landscaper, but my boss wants to move me towards the Arb side of things a i hold my small felling an cross cut ticket and have a little experience. He is going to get me my climbing ticket and tree surveying too. But wants me to build a list of kit I defiantly need and kit id like. I'm looking for a ground saw and a top handle (we already have an old huskie but are looking for newer and better, no position on electric or petrol. We are also looking for mid range PPE (I have my own kit, but he wants business ones too. And any tools you would recommend, I've mentioned some sharpening bits, a felling lever and some wedges, but need to know what I'm missing. Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers
  4. Hi guys, first time posting. I'm pretty new to the industry, still studying a level 3 in arboriculture. I'm working for a landscaper but he wants to get into tree work , and as i hold my small felling and crosscut ticket he wants me to help lead that way. I'm planning on getting climbing tickets in the coming months too. Anyway, my question, I'm looking at getting some kit for the business for more arb wok and need some advice on helmets mainly, but also a more vague question. I currently use an old Oregon forestry lid, that's pretty crap, so was wondering what people would recommend to replace it, and also if i could get something with drop down goggles rather then a mesh visor? or legally do I need a mesh visor? My other question, what kit would you recommend I get for the business, I don't wanna take the mick and get Arbortech and Protos stuff (even though i also really do),haha, but yeah, I've mentioned a felling bar, some wedges and some sharpening bits, but I'm drawing a blank on what else. Any help would be amazing. Cheers, and I'm really excited to be joining the industry.
