Vacancy for an Arboricultural Manager for an expanding company based in Ongar, Essex. The candidate should have experience of managing teams of climbers/ groundsmen. You should be able to carry out and supervise tree surgery works for both domestic and commercial sectors, as well as conduct managerial/ administrative duties. Essential criteria includes NPTC qualifications in CS30/31/32/38 and 39 (CS41 is desirable), have a full driving licence (B+E ticket desirable), NVQ Level 3 in Arboriculture (or equivalent), Stump grinders and woodchippers, be able to liaise with clients from all sectors (such as customers, tree officers etc), understand all aspects of legislation surrounding arboricultural works. Be able to assess work required to trees (a PTI or VTA course/ qualification is desirable), quote for works according to a shedule of rates, be able to negotiate with clients over recommended works, and have an understanding of budget management. You should also be able to mentor and train junior members of staff, as well as conduct appraisal and input into training plans.
