Our client is a registered social landlord (RSL) based in London. They are one of the oldest and largest housing providers in the country having been founded in 1862 and with more than 27,000 homes. In 2014 they acquired another large housing association based in south east London who had a substantial land holding and with this a large tree stock. The grounds maintenance and tree works are undertaken using an in house team. They are currently looking to recruit an Arborist Supervisor to oversee a small team of staff on a day to day basis.

Reporting to their depot in SE28, this role will involve organising and issuing work, undertaking tree inspections, liaising with residents and members of the public. The role will also involve some hands on work as part of the team when not undertaking supervisory duties. A full job description is available.

Candidates should be NPTC qualified and competent climbing arborists with a good knowledge of all tree work operations and practices. Previous experience of leading a team of staff is required. In return they are offering a salary of £25,000-£30,000 per annum plus the usual benefits of a large organisation to include paid annual leave, company contributory pension and training/CPD.
