Tinted windows/solar blinds

The cab of my forwarder gets quite warm on sunny days so was thinking of replacing the solar blinds in it, the dealer however says they costs £1,000 plus and just to tint the windows.

 

Has anyone tinted windows and does it work well? I'm looking to reduce glare and sun penetration but still want to be able to see on a gloomy morning.
