I was thinking of this for the crane on my lorry, I'd get a rotor from somewhere else. The crane will lift about 3.8t in close and 2t at 6m.

 

I have little knowledge or experience with these things. What are the thoughts of the educated?

The 0.28 grapple is a bit on small side for a lorry, its what they use on small to medium size forwarders, all depends on how big your crane is, the o.28 will handle most timber but the o.36 size would be better.

Luftwaffe, cheers. I'll have a look at the cranab specs and use that as a starting point. My lorry is a 18t rigid if it makes Amy difference.
