We have an opportunity within Team Gallions for an Arborist supervisor.

 

About the role:

 

We’re much more than just a landlord. Managing over 5,600 properties in six London boroughs with over 1.5 million square meters of open spaces with over 30,000 trees, this is a great opportunity for the right individual to supervise a small team and develop this key service

 

This role requires you to be part of the environmental services who maintain all the green spaces for Gallions Peabody.

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

 

• To provide tree services in a safe manner to BS3998 which are customer oriented, high quality, responsive to the needs of the Association including external clients and in line with service standards and to supervise a small team.

• To carry out tree pruning operations, including but not limited to, - lifting, thinning, crown reduction, pollarding at heights in excess of 20 meters.

• To carry out tree felling and stump removal.

• To carry out cable braising and tree support system activities.

• To carry out tree inspections and produce associated reports.

• To safely use of a wide variety of equipment and hand tools including but not limited to saws / pole saws / hand tools / harness and ropes of all types.

 

 

Key Skills required:

 

• Relevant qualifications and training in arboriculture

 

• NPTC units in the range of 30 to 41 as a minimum

• Current driving licence

 

• Current driving licence

• Proven experience working in arboricultural service

 

• Proven ability to work in all weathers in an outdoor environment

 

• Demonstrable experience of supervising a small team

 

• Ability to undertake physically demanding work at height

 

• Specialist technical knowledge of arboricultural practices

 

• Experience of using a wide range of equipment and tools
