Welcome to Powerline Surveying, we are a company who deliver survey/consent works for various blue chip companies who work in the over head power line industry.

 

Description

 

The company was formed in June 2012 by Jason Smith, he has worked in the Utility Vegetation and Construction industry for over 18 years. Starting out as an Arborist in the power line sector and progressing through to managing teams on various electrical contracts throughout the UK. In 2008 he moved into the world of freelance contracting for various companies, carrying out vegetation clearance works for various power line and rail companies both hands on and also delivering survey consents works.

 

June 2012 saw the launch of Powerline Surveying Ltd, this has gone from strength to strength with several major contractors across the North of England now using their services both for vegetation and for foot patrol works surveying the actual over head infrastructure.

“Iron man” Kart Championship regulations 2014

 

In 2014 Stockton & DMC will run a 5 round, closed to club, 1 hour “Iron man” kart series, all of each driver’s scores will count towards the overall standings. The first round will be held on Sunday June 15th 2014

 

1. The championship will be open only to members of Stockton & DMC, non-members can compete in their first round only but must commit to join the championship within 24 hours of the race finish or have their score negated.

 

2. Points in each class will be scored as detailed below, these points will then be combined to give an overall table as well as class tables.

3. There shall be a maximum of 32 drivers per race and a minimum of 20. If less than 20 karters are entered then the event may be cancelled.

 

 

4. The series will run in 4 classes. Up to 75kg, 76-90kg, and 91kg+, there will also be a ladies class (no weight restriction) these weights will be measured once at the start of the season with all drivers in race gear (inc gloves) and helmet.

 

5. The winner of each class shall be determined by their best 5 from 5 scores across the season.

 

6. There shall be awards for 1st & 2nd in each class,. There will be an overall winner from the combined scores of all classes put in to an overall table.

 

7. 1 bonus point will be awarded for pole position and 1 point for fastest lap in each class.

 

 

8. A spirit of the series award will be presented to the driver with the most nominations from their peers in an end of season vote (one vote per racer). The co-ordinator also has one casting vote. No previous winner shall be eligible for a period of 1 year.

 

 

9. All races will be at Teesside Autodrome, all races will be held on Sunday’s start times may vary to avoid complications caused by winter weather. There may be one or more race during the season on the shorter circuit (1300m) at the organiser’s discretion; track time will remain 1 hour.

 

10. In the event of a serious dispute/ incident a panel will convene made up of the championship co-ordinator, a member of staff from Teesside karting and one other member of Stockton & DMC.

 

11. The decision of this panel is final.

 

12. A separate procedure in the event of a red flag will be published in addendum to these rules, each driver shall sign a declaration to state the have read and understood this rule. If the rule is not followed the driver will be excluded from that race.

 

13. In the event of a mechanical failure it is deemed that the driver may continue in the race and any time lost will not be credited (a replacement kart may be offered). Likewise time in the pits to repair crash damage will be considered as time lost.

 

14. If the race is halted for any reason after 75% distance the result will be declared as final and full points awarded. If the race is stopped under the 75% (from race start, not qualifying) then ½ points may be awarded if the race cannot be restarted.

 

15. There is no series registration fee, but to be eligible for the championship and to score points, racers must be members of Stockton & DMC, (for which there is a once yearly membership payment of £12.00 please make cheques payable to Stockton and DMC).

 

16. Drivers must participate in a minimum of 3 races to be eligible for championship awards.

 

17. Registered championship contenders will have their places reserved until 14 days before the event, after that time places will be offered on a first come first served basis.

 

18. A non refundable deposit of £10 per person is required no later than 14 days before the event, with no exceptions. Entry will not be finalised until deposit is paid.

 

19. The entry fee will be £50 per person/kart/ race but these are subject to change depending on circuit hire costs and circuit used.
