UK first yr completed Apprentice to Canada?

Hi all,

I came across a couple of useful canada threads from people who had emigrated from the U.K to Canada. I hope someone can help.

My brother is 18 and has completed his first year in becoming a tree surgeon. He is debating on doing the second year or coming over to canada to try and find work. His college tutor has told him to go for it in Canada as he has enough exams to make a go but I'm undecided as to whether its a good idea for him not to get more qualifications.

I moved to BC a year ago and love it hence his choice!

If anyone has been through this can you advise his options? The 18+ visa reached its limit in March so I presume currently his only way in is to get a labour market opnion or via the provincial nominee programme. It would be interesting to hear peoples advice whom have made the move.

Thanks in advance,

Christie
