Agree entirely. Some woodland trust woods they eradicate it. I like it but in moderation. Its a great quick growing firewood if you can use the thinnings.

the point is that all woods need to be managed and its the aims of that management that determine your approach to sycamore.

Don't go dissing the Sycamore. It produces good firewood quickly, It harbours loads of aphids that feed a lots of hungry birds. Yes it can be a bit unruley, but the positives outway the negatives.

 

 

Agree big time just had some of my bigger sycamore tested for ripple...... :thumbup:
