I'm wanting to buy rope in a couple weeks or so, and noticed that ATRAES have the Yale Arrow Frog at what seems to be a good price for spliced 35m. Is this considered versatile rope that can be used with confidence in SRT or DdRT as well as mechanical devices/rope hitches? It appears to be region (AUS/NZ) specific rope.

Does Arrow Frog compare well to Donaghy's Cougar Blue?

I've done a search but the hits are few on Arrow Frog. I'm not an arborist but am slowly building up kit so that I can do a bit tree climbing. Looks challenging!

Its ok, similar to blue tounge but with I think more nylon in the core so more stretch

If you want to use it srt and ddrt, there is your answer! Get the cougar blue

Its similar to the American Poison Ivy i really like mine it is softer in the hand than cougar blue but isnt as static, the cover of Arrowfrog feels smoother in my opinion, both work well srt and ddrt i would go with cougar blue for SRt and its pretty even between the two for Ddrt.
