Forestry Manager Wanted

Dowdeswell Forestry is a family run business based near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. We undertake all aspects of woodland management, woodland contracting, arboricultural operations and we also supply a significant volume of woodfuel to both domestic and wholesale customers.

 

We are currently seeking an individual to join our team as Forestry Manger. The successful applicant will be responsible for expanding upon and managing a large portfolio of private woodlands, managing a busy office and undertaking forestry contracting when required.

 

Previous experience within the forestry industry is necessary to undertake this role ideally qualified to a minimum of level 3 in an associated subject. A strong knowledge of woodland management principles including knowledge of Forestry Grant Schemes is vital.

 

You will need excellent verbal and written communication skills including good computer literacy skills and outstanding team-working skills, with the ability and initiative to develop and progress ideas under your own motivation while motivating others. Experience working with the public will be an advantage.
