The aim of this PhD is to investigate these questions by collecting data on the extent of phenotypic plasticity, the level of adaptive genetic variation and the extent of gene flow among populations of native tree species, including silver birch (Betula pendula) and rowan (Sorbus aucuparia).

It's geared towards climate change adaptation, but the findings will of course be relevant to epidemiology as well.
