Ancient techniques?

Apparently stone age man used to ring bark the biggest tree around so it would die then use the available light to farm in.

It's thought that this removed the largest of trees therefore weakening the species, so if they hadnt done it we would probably have larger specimens today.

Not on topic but thought it may be of some interest :001_smile:

 

Now that is interesting.

I have found a guy who can make me a Socket axe which was a preferred axe at the time. What exact job it was used for i'm unsure but there is allways trial and error.
