I've just started recreational climbing in a woods adjacent to my allotment in Balcombe, (near Gatwick, Crawley, Haywards Heath), West Sussex.

I'm a complete beginner and have been following the Tree Climber's Companion.

I bought some kit from Honey Brothers, who I found very helpful, and have spent a few hours each day this week climbing.

I have free access to these woods, which are not managed.

I'm happy to meet up with any recreational climbers in the area.
