Chainsaw log horse

Just got one of these (Clarke CCLH1) and put it together this afternoon. It's a fairly light duty one but takes my old Husky 136 no problem. I'm sure most of you have used these before but I just wanted to say it's a revelation to me. I've always found it tricky cutting up poles / sticks safely with a chainsaw and the chop saw is OK but not really designed for such work.

I just cut a dumpy bag of logs in about 15 minutes with this thing, it's brilliant. I'm sure there are many others similar out there but I've never tried one before. It's totally safe, controlled and at a comfortable working height and you can drop the logs straight into a bag / barrow.

Just thought I would mention it. They are going for around £70-80 and I reckon that's a bargain.

The best bit is that it allows to leave the smaller stuff in 4-6 foot lengths which makes it easier to bring back from the wood in the hilux and easier to stack outside for initial seasoning. Plus it gives me a use for my old 136 which I am still fond of.
