electric log splitters

Anybody any experience of using one? Thinking about getting one if it saves axe swinging and speeds up my splitting. Not too fussed as im quite quick with the axe, just the real hefty bits im thinking of using it for.

I just bought a 7 ton horizontal the other day.

Thought i would try some ash blocks from a couple of years ago that i cannot split with my maul, the electric splitter just laughed at it! make sure you get one with a cross axe too so it splits into 4 in one go.

no regrets here, it means i can carry on felling while the wife is splitting.

where did u get the electric log splitter from?

After debating and dithering for a very long time I purchased a petrol 7 tonne log splitter off eBay, tried it out on some knarly well seasoned oak and it flew through it, all those years spent splitting by hand, little machine now flies through the rest of the oak without a hitch only trouble is I've run out of wood to split, therefore if anyone around north wales who wish to sell either soft or hardwood risings or cordwood, message me. By the way its a Titan Pro 7 tonne approx £650.
