Hi all,

 

We were invited to the Show this year by the organisers. It was a mega busy day spoilt by rain at the end. However, the crowds were happy to see the Peterson at work judging by the response we got. We chomped through 5 Turkey Oak trunks, mostly 6x2 and 6x6 cuts. Unfortunately after using the metal detector throughout the day we were caught out on the last one and lost 5 of the 8 teeth on the blade, thanks to a 30 year old gate hinge.

One spectator told of a time many years back when felling an old oak they hit metal. After some hacking around they discovered an old shot gun in the tree !:001_smile:
