For one of my lectures we visited part of the Althorp estate in Northampton.

As you can see by the pictures there was some beautiful standing deadwood (well, strangely there was some living limbs on it), and some beautiful specimens of Dryad Saddles.

Straight away thought of you Hamadryad.

Oh mate they have some lovely skeletons there!

 

Those saddles look huge! I must go back and have a look :biggrin:
