Vegetation Clearance of the existing Rail Corridor between the Port and Park Areas at London Gateway.

 

Vegetation clearance of an existing rail line to enable ecological clearance and construction works to be carried out in Spring 2011. Clearance works will involve taking out dense hedgerows, trees and vegetation for a distance of approximately 5 km. The works must take place between January and March 2011 to avoid the bird nesting season. The successful contractor will have to be fully conversent with all Network Rail procedures and permits. All of the cleared vegetation will be stockpiled in a purpose built compost area on site.

 

The area covered by this notice is approximately 52 acres.
