I should think they are flooded with people wanting cordwood now. Lets be honest people should order their logs in the summer when we process the logs. Thats the time when the weather is mild the ground is hard and the days are long and the timber has 9 months to season in the sun. Not when the country is grid locked with snow or 6 inches of mud under foot -10 deg and 6 hours of day light. We are getting about 10 calls a day for logs thank god for answer phones saves repeating sorry sold out try in March.

To be fair a lot of my customers buy all year round from me, however some have used them all up and some just dont have enough storage to see them through the year, i still have plenty left i can supply but always on the lookout for some more !

The ones that annoy me are the ones that didnt want to pay summer prices, thinking they would get a better deal in the winter !! what a suprise they get when they ring back desperate for logs cos most other people round here have run out !

I love my phone ringing and hate to turn work down.
