are any of you fans of diybandmill.com? If so have any of you taken the plunge into making a bandmill and how succesful was it? Find the site really inspiring and often wonder if it would be fun or just an expensive waste of time to build from scrap/new a custom made bandmill

It depends what you want I suppose. If you're gonna use it to cut a few planks for yourself it might be possible without investing too much time and money.

The way I look at it is how much cash could I earn doing something else and off set that against any DIY project I'm contemplating. Having said that there's nothing like the satisfaction.
