Imagine...

Hi All,

 

Imagine you're coming into the industry from the bottom. You enjoyed your CS courses... maybe have 38 and 39 under your belt... are interested maybe in doing something academic in a year or two. You are curious about forestry... intrigued with the possibility of producing timber, firewood, charcoal... not mad keen on contract work. Maybe fancy ending up with your own outfit... already love the outdoors and aren't looking to make a huge living... just enough to tick along nicely with plenty of interesting jobs.

 

Where would you work in UK and why?

It is how much you want to put into it, it will be the same all around the World. If you are lazy then it will always be with you, if you want to work hard and try different things then you will try and achieve it no matter what. Too many people want it offered to them when it takes a lot of hard work and bending over backwards just to get to the bottom of this job but when you have suffered and worked hard then the rewards are endlessou just need the right mind and will be the same which ever country you work in.

Thanks Sam... I guess I signed up for hard work when I decided to get into this sort of life. To be honest I'm really looking forward to it as I'm a physical sort of person and am a bit desk bound at the moment... wise words though. The truth is, as I'm sure you have guessed, that this is my situation. I seem to always get a wee bit of info from guys I meet on courses about their part of the world and the bit of tree work they're involved in... just wanted to get a bit more of the same from the folks on the Forum...
