Newbie ride-on mower/brushcutter advice please

Just acquired roughly 5 acres of land of which 0.5 acres in mowed but undulating lawn. The rest is very scrubby, again undulating but no major slopes with areas prone to getting wet. I'm planning to maintain the lawn for family use but preserve as much of the wild areas as possible by mowing paths into the scrub to enable us to walk the area.

I have a maximum budget of £5k to get what I need to manage it myself and I've done a lot of research online but looking for some experienced advice and reviews to guide me.  Thought I'd narrowed it down to a Grillo Climber 7.15 brushcutter but then read about issues related to poor quality generally with cost of spares extortionate.

Any recommendations very welcome, thanks in advance.

From a personal point of view and 33 years of looking after similar terrain as you indicated, my opinion is any choice of a "one machine for all jobs" can result in a poor compromise of all rather than excelling at any or every  task.

I found it much better to have a small light but powerful enough machine and have the ability to choose the implement to attach as the job/terrain/conditions  dictate.

there isn't going to be much about for that budget but with a bit of searching it should be possible to find a flail, a mower and a small garden tractor, kubota, iseki, etc. other uses can be found for a small tractor too, pulling a trailer, a sprayer can be attached, many implements can be ran from the pto, or from hydraulics.
