Picked up one of these today, looking to be in pretty good nick under all the usual muck, [why is it users don't look after saws and then wonder why it don't go anymore?] 

anyway looks like rather than tighten the chain as necessary they just let it chew the bar plates to hell.

does anyone know if any of the other Stihl bar plates are the same, I'll pull a few Stihl plates tomorrow and see for myself, but just wondering if anybody was still awake at 11.45.:001_cool:
