Silver Oak Arb is looking for a Head Arborist to join their team in Sheffield.

 

Silver Oak Arb is a well-established arboriculture company based in Fulwood, Sheffield, offering high-quality tree care services across the region. We are an Arboricultural Association approved contractor with a small but growing team. We’re looking for an experienced tree climber and team leader to join us and help maintain our high standards of work.

 

Salary & Benefits

 

• Salary: £30,000 – £38,000 per year (based on experience)
• Full-time, permanent PAYE role
• 28 days holiday

The Role

 

As Head Arborist / Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for leading the team on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You’ll also have the opportunity to play a key role in the development and training of apprentices, helping them grow in their skills and knowledge. Your leadership will help keep jobs running smoothly and ensure a positive, productive team environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Leading a team and ensuring jobs are completed on time and to a high standard
• Carrying out daily risk assessments and ensuring a safe worksite
• Keeping management updated on job progress
• Supporting and motivating the team to maintain high performance
• Ensuring tools and equipment are well-maintained
• Keeping up with CPD training to support our Arb Association Approved status
• Playing an active role in the development and training of apprentices

 

Requirements

 

• Proven experience as a climbing arborist
• Leadership skills – able to manage a team and job sites effectively
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., NPTC CS30/31/38/39)
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong understanding of health & safety regulations
• Reliable, professional, and punctual
