Sourcing saw logs.

Hello all, as a new comer to this site i'd like to formally introduce myself; I am a furniture maker based in South Cumbria, just off the A66, milling my own timber, drying and using to manufacture bespoke furniture, i used to work in the trees untill i saw the light!

Ok thats the formal stuff out the way, what i'm hoping is, somebody out there might be able to help me source some logs for milling. I dont mind what the mix is, oak ash beech etc and i dont mind if theres a bit of firewood in there to, but i'm mainly after saw logs. Not to massive a butt either or 16 ft logs, 10 foot will do, theres only me and sometimes the big buggers are more hard work than they're worth.

Artic access is ok.

James, I will pass your number to a few people that I know, who may be able to supply you.

 

It would be a good idea to contact a few local estates nearby to see if they have anything suitable, often they can deliver small tractor forwarder loads.
