About the role…

Reporting directly into the Operations Manager, you will oversee the planning and programming of the HV outage works, working on a risk-based model. A number of HV outages will need programming week on week and these outages will have to deliver a number of high-risk spans. The role will involve managing a team of engineers and HV outage front runners.

This role will be based in Durham, covering Doncaster to Scotland.

 

What will your day look like…

  • Working closely with the Operational Lead.
  • Managing a team of SAPs and HV outage front runners.
  • Producing an effective & efficient programme, consulting with the LV Outage Lead and Live Cut Planner.
  • Cultivating open 2-way communication and building trust within the team.
  • Setting SMART objectives, producing KPIs and working to deadlines.
  • Where applicable, making sure machinery and/or traffic management is booked.
  • Staying compliant with health and safety legislation.

 

About you…  

You will have minimum of 3+ years’ experience working on High Voltage and / or vegetation management. You will have the ability to decipher and organize a large volume of HV outages using a risk-based model. An excellent communicator, you will be a critical thinker and a problem solver. Taking the initiative, you will have the drive to continually improve and overcome setbacks. You will be IT literate and have a good understanding of HV diagrams, including knowledge of naming and labelling. You will have experience in Project or Programme Management and be able to demonstrate instances of delivering projects to time, cost, and quality. Taking a process-oriented approach, you will also show excellent leadership skills, leading by example. Full job specific training will be available.
