Willow tree dying

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help. My beautiful willow tree is dying I think. I’m still trying to stay hopeful and wondered if anyone has seen or faced something similar.

My willow tree seemed ok stressed last year with the heatwave and dropped some leaves but then in October early November it dropped all of its leaves. This seemed strange as none of the other willows in our area had dropped their leaves.

Then in spring there was no growth of leaves only a sparse couple of branches at the top. There seems to be afew new green leaves growing from the branches but nothing significant.

please does anyone know what could’ve caused this? And if there is any chance of survival? We think the tree is around 30 years old. It was a beautiful large tree and so devasting to see it like this.

Any help/advice will be gratefully received.

Thank you. IMG_3861.thumb.jpeg.360d2615d29c6f7b17472fbca73f19c3.jpeg
