Utility Arborist Required For The North East / Yorkshire region

PLS Group UK currently have a permanent vacancy for an experienced Utility Arborist to join our teams working across the whole of Yorkshire.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced climbing arborist with positive attitude and able to work well within a team. This position is not for applicants who have zero tree care industry experience, so please consider this before applying.

Utility arb experience is desirable but not essential and any Utility arb training will be provided.

The successful candidate will be working on Northern PowerGrid Sites in the Yorkshire area. Sites usually within an 30mins-1.5hr drive from our Catterick base.

Essential requirements:

  • Able to provide a brief C.V. of previous work experience
  • Self-motivation and positive attitude
  • Full UK driving licence
  • NPTC chainsaw and climbing

Desirable requirements:

  • NPTC utility arb UA1
  • NPTC operate MEWP
  • NPTC operate chainsaw from MEWP
  • NPTC safely operate woodchipper
  • NPG codes
  • Live line cutting experience (L.V.)
  • EFAW with forestry module

Training:

Utility arb training along with any other specific training will be provided as required.

Work location:

PLS Group UK are based near Colburn, Catterick Garrison , North Yorkshire approximately 5 minutes from the A1. All teams usually start and finish in the yard.

Working hours:

7:00AM – 17.00PM Monday to Friday with weekend work available.

Salary:

Salary between £30,000 and £35,000 per annum plus benefits based on experience and qualifications.
