European work permits?

I have been wanting to work elsewhere in Europe, mainly Scandinavia for some time but feel I missed the boat with Brexit.

I have been in touch with a few companies in Sweden Who have all had similar replies, being after brexit work permits are required which take up to a year, meaning they have little interest in you. Gone are the days when you could work for a couple of months there with minimal faff.

The ideal thing I'm after is short term work 1-2 months in spring.

Has anyone gone through the process of gaining a work permit for Sweden or Norway since Brexit?

If so how long, costly etc was it to sort out?

Was a job offer required first?

Thanks
