Looking for Utility Arb Supervisor in Stoke-on-Trent

bts Group is seeking a Utility Arboriculture Supervisor with tree surveying experience to work in and around Stoke-on-Trent.
 
We’re looking for someone to work closely with the Area Manager on a programme of contract works.

Role and requirements:
 
  • You'll need to be confident in supervising, supporting and advising arborist teams in the field
  • You will perform operational audits and make sure that any damage or safety concerns are identified, reported, and addressed
  • The role also includes surveying duties from initial surveying of spans, to obtaining permission, to completing the programmed works. This needs someone experienced in utility arb surveying, with good knowledge of tree identification and characteristics
  • Sound I.T skills would be useful, as you’ll need to operate a tablet device in the field
 
Preferred Skills and Certifications:
- UA: 1, 2.1, 5
- DNO authorisation
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong communication skills
- Negotiating skills
- Able to work using own initiative and as part of a team
- Experience and knowledge of strict H&S operations and its practical implications
- Manual Handling Certification
- First Aid Certification
