Hi Arborists,

I'm considering buying a house which has a Liquid Amber/Ambar tree about 3m from the house. It's approx 25ft tall.

Question is how much of a pain is something like this to remove, I have read some US horror stories about the roots being really shallow and that even if stump ground and dosed up with a boat load of groundup or equivalent on roots it could still sprout up.

I think the roots are buckling the driveway a little getting rid of it would make me worry less it was going to cause problems with the house but how do you get rid of roots under the house? Would they be under the house. House is from 50s so likely house came first tree 2nd!

Any advice appreciated
