84hp Bi- Directional tractor Antonio Carraro 9400 TTR Year of manufacture 2003 Alpine/ Steep Slope tractor - 1917 hrs of use – low hours Very good condition. I am the third owner of this tractor, it was bought by a golf course to flail rough grassy areas – it was then purchased by a Welsh dealer who bought it and sold it to me almost straight away so I guess he purchased it to sell it on for a quick profit. My need for the tractor (other than always having wanted one) was to carry out a ground works project on a very steep section of woodland here cutting some tracks through brambles. Finding a large hp bi-directional alpine second hand is super rare and if I had more space I would certainly keep it - but unfortunately I do not really have enough regular work to justify keeping it. The tractor has been barn stored barn stored since we have owned it and the welsh dealer informed me that the Golf Course kept it dry stored as well - its cleaner than my car!! so I guess the golf course groundsmen also enjoyed cleaning and polishing it as well 😊 Tractor is in great condition overall for its age – Good points Bi-directional tractor – so simple to change the steering wheel and seat etc to face the other way (30 seconds I would estimate if your doing it slowly 😊) Amazing to drive – very sure footed- designed to work on seriously steep slopes Great off road – we have used for some light forestry work and mulching and the mulcher although the specs states 4cm max mulching capacity is an absolute beast and although I would never abuse a mulcher – I found that whatever it met it ate All glass and light lenses 100% Bad points When we purchased the tractor air con was not connected (however the tractor has so many windows that this has not worried us) – probably an easy fix if you had time One interior window clip is missing but the individual window has another latch and this holds the window secure just fine – so simply have not worried about this. Small Oil leak – does not affect performance and does not need regular topping up so again we have not investigated this - it could be something as simple as a pipe (but we have priced the tractor accordingly to allow for this fix) Kirkland Tractors import Antonio Carraro into the UK and a guy called Ben Short works in the parts department at Kirkland (his email is [email protected] I know this as in preparation of our sale we purchased a couple of broken light lens from him a few weeks ago (i have included this information to assist the new owner – these tractors are incredibly popular in Europe and so all parts are available off the shelf) A Flail Mower is also included in the sale – This is a Ferri MT200, this is not a mower for formal lawns – its designed to clear overgrown areas with thick vegetation The flail is also bi-directional and so you can mow towing it or mow facing forwards Good Points Mulch material upto 4cm in diameter and leaves a really good rough cut finish 2 metres wide – so you can cover large areas quickly The flail has a hydraulic side shift which is really useful Recent respray and sticker set so that it matches the tractor now in appearance 😊 Bad points Few of the metal guards that hang down along the rear tail guard are bent and one or two are missing – easy repair. To view or for any questions please contact me through messenger – thankyou for looking. £18500 ONO No VAT

  4. Nearing decision time on a new splitter - which will be a tractor mounted vertical. It'll be used out in the forest and at home so PTO is an obvious necessity, however I'm just debating on whether it's worth also getting the electric motor option also. The thinking being quieter when at home, independent from any tractor breakdowns and also future proofed for if diesel use becomes an issue in future years. As the splitter is an expensive purchase and one to last a lifetime, the latter point is probably most important behind the thought but just wondering whether I'm over thinking/worrying about something that might not happen and whether it warrants the extra cost (approx 1k) of the elec option ?‍♂️. Thoughts welcome and also whether anyone has experience of tractor mounted PTO splitters with the elec option and how much they use it? From the data when in elec mode it's considerably slower than when run by the tractor!
  5. does anybody have a holder a60 crank and possibly a flywheel as well? i am majorly struggling with the old girl, i am thinking if i cannot find a crank and flywheel then if anyone has any information on doing an engine swap with a perkins, cummins, land rover or anything which may be of help thanks ed.
  6. Fed up with getting my Ford 4000 tractor stuck in the mud so think something with 4WD would be suitable. I've found a Same Explorer 80 and a Massey 590 for about the same price (both with loaders). Head says Massey but heart says Same. It's just for simple mowing, logsplitter and rolling. My Ford has a loader and I'm used to having it around to shift bits and bobs about
  7. Evening, looking into buying a cheap kubota b1400 tractor from a local bloke, and although I am confident it will run my saw bench, will it have enough power and weight to be able to lift my thor supermajic 18t pto splitter? Looking for a small tractor which would be my own, and at the same time be handy for manoeuvring chipper etc on larger work sites, and this is local and within budget. thanks

  10. Desperate for help, I have a Holder a60 tractor with major issues, the piston closest to the cab has sheared of the bottom piece of Conrod and top piece has jammed the crank tight, block is sound and valve rods are fine, I no I need a Conrod and possibly a crank, praying it hasn't twisted, does anybody have any experience taking holder engine apart, I no I can get bits for her from lamberhust eng but the prices of these little German gems are astronomically massive, if anybody has any parts or an engine for a60 I would be eternally grateful!!
  11. Morning all We have a lot of oak a get away from site. two trees, the largest being approx 2m DBH. we have a tractor with medium sized grab with a trailer so can deliver, but needs to be as close to site a possible as I'll have to do multi trips and it is not a fast tractor! If you have a big grab and trailor set up then your more than welcome to take the lot, or as much as you like. Any questions please ask. Or any ideas of who might be interested welcome. 15. Morning all, I'm looking to get an alpine tractor and timber trailer to allow us to start extracting from a few small woodland sites in Buckinghamshire. It's all very small scale work (<50t a year) on SSSI sites which means we're limited to low impact kit and access only during dry periods. I'm looking at the AGT850TR and COT30-470 3t timber trailer combination at the moment, from Riko. But I am new to forestry work and was hoping to get some advice! I was thinking of putting 300/65-12 tyres on the trailer along with a crane winch and band tracks as we're on heavy clay and anything to spread the weight will be useful! Anyone's thoughts on this setup would be really appreciated along with anything else to consider. Thanks all!
  16. Hi All, This is my first post. I'm looking to change tyres on my Holder A50. They are size 400/60x17.5 (front) and 400/60x15.5 (rear). They are a wide turf-type tread (sometimes referred to as 'dog leg' tread). I was hoping to change tyres to an agricultural type tread pattern, more suitable for working in the woods. Unfortunately there seems to be no manufacturers producing agricultural tread tyres for rims of this width. So. . . can anyone help out? Either with a wheel and tyre swap. Or with any leads on manufactures that produce a deeper tread tyre at this size. Cheers, Luc
  17. Hi We are, after many months of discussion, we are due to embark on a new business venture selling biomass fuels... From pellets to logs....we are negotiating on a site in north devon, and hoping that it will complete soon... Obviously we need everything... Wood processor tractor forklift etc etc.... What do people out there suggest... Particularly for the processor.... Looked at most... Duun hakki Pilki, jappa... All look very much the same... It would be down to what is likely to work best for us... Anyone have any suggestions on which is best and recommendations for all other stuff needed.... Cheap supplies of vented bags is a must find at. A reasonable price too...so much to buy so little time..... Stu Baillie 07543248916
