  1. We will soon need another climber to join our team of 5 based just south of Oslo in Norway. You will need the ETW (European Tree Worker) certificate and need a minimum 3 years experience. Since brexit it has been harder to get visas for Brits here so ideally the applicant will have Duel nationality or a European citizenship. My company is called Ekorn Trepleie AS and has been established for 11 years, for a little more info, please take a look at the website: ekorntrepleie.no Reply to this post or pm me with a short description of your certifications, experience and contact details, i look forward to hearing from you, thanks! 2. Hi i'm looking to move to Norway for 6 months and work with the trees there. Has any body got any reccomendations on areas, companies, salaries etc for me please? I have worked as a grounds man mostly but have started climbing and wish to progress my skills further. I have my own gear and UK qualifications for climbing, rescue, chainsaw maintenance and felling, and drivers license. I am flexible on where I work but preferably by the coast! Will attach my cv to this post incase anyone can pass it on for me. Thanks! CV.docx
  3. I'm just currently looking for work In Europe as an arborist-climber, I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips on websites to go on to apply and how to go about it? Which countries are the best to go over? Norway is good I've heard. I have the experience needed as this is a short bio on myself, I am looking to start at the beginning of January. Please check my Facebook page out to see the quality of work carried by myself with the videos and pictures of the jobs I've done, you should be impressed. Thanks. Jordan Name: Jordan Lee Email: [email protected] Cover Letter: I am 26 years old, I have been running my own tree surgery company back in Wigan, Manchester, England (North west, England). My role is to price month long contract jobs up from pricing the amount of days needed to the staff needed on the job, also i am the main climber on the job with over 6 years experience. My certificates are as shown; *Chainsaws. *Tree Climbing & Tree rescue. *Tree Climbing with the use of a chainsaw for aerial use. *Aerial rigging for trees. *Trailer licence with full driving licence. I am extremely competent with full knowledge on how to run a job efficiently. my email address is [email protected] . please feel free to ask me any questions you may have. thanks
  4. Hi guys. Long time member/reader first time poster. I'm moving to Norway at the end July - August time. Going to a city called Stavanger. I'm going out there mainly to help my friend run a trampoline park! (I know it's a bit mental) so I'm not going to be desperate for work but I would still love to do a bit of tree work as i'll earn more money doing that. I'm currently a team leader for a company in the cheshire area with 9 years climbing experience and most of the relevant quals, so by no means a novice. I'm having a bit of trouble finding companies in that area. Only seem to find Oslo or Bergen. If anyone knows a company or a friend out there who could point me in the right direction that would be amazing. I may well end up doing a month in Oslo or Bergen as the park opening date has been pushed back a bit. Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers Josh:thumbup: ps: here's the trampoline park if anyones interested. not fully built yet but will be the size of a football pitch. https://www.facebook.com/Freedome-by-SkyZone-Norway-532434753588363/

Mostly section felling work, some pruning, some stump grinding from time to time. Good rates. Please reply/pm/send me a mail if you are interested and we can talk about your experience and pay rates etc. Regards Doug +4792455185 [email protected] Arborist and Trefeller in Bærum, Oslo and Akershus | Ekorn Trepleie
  6. Hello Everybody I'm french and I just came back from New Zealand. During 4 years I studied and worked in Forestry (as worker and Technician) Now I would like do a new training to be Arborist Climber and practise this job. i heard that it's possible to do an one year internship in Sweden or Finland with a professional. I also heard that in Ireland and The Uk are some good trainings too. Do you guys know about any companies in Sweden, Finland, Norway (especially) or Ireland and the UK which are able to take someone for an Internship. or about any possibility to get an training to be a arborist. I'm really motivated and i want to increase my knowledge and learn more about tree care and also how to work with urban trees. Cheers Toto
  7. Greetings all, I have been offered a months trial working in Oslo. I was told I have to provide PL insurance as well as health insurance so have just started getting quotes. Trust told me they would cover me for one or two months working there but if I wanted any longer then I would have to arrange cover with a Norwegian firm. I'm waiting to hear back from Arborisk who have to ask their underwriters about longer term cover, should my trial lead to more work. I have tried to research this but there is not loads of information on the net so I wanted to know if anyone out there has experience of working in Norway and could advise me on PL insurance and anything else I may need to know. Thanks Harry
