Hi, Happy to accept any wood suitable for log burners. Ideally hard wood but happy to accept soft wood log. Can be dropped/tipped on the sloped grass at the side of the drive. A heads up would be good before you drop. Please feel free to contact for directions Logs will definitely help us fuel our log burner through next winter so thank you.
  4. In your opinion, what's the best wood you use for kindling on scale? Not interested in pallets or wood offcuts.
  5. Hello all👋, I am in need for a bulk kindling supplier that can delivery in Norfolk... The price and quality needs to be good. Don't mind if its lose or bagged Could anyone fulfil this or know of anyone that could. Many Thanks... Look forward to the replies.

Looking for wood, for use with a fire pit Haven’t got any equipment for unloading wood, and we will need to be able to carry to the back garden , so nothing too big please any decent burning sized wood will do
  7. Hi, I have recently joined on a hunt for wood to burn at home. We don't have any heating in our house so rely on logs and kindling to keep us warm, and this is set to run out for this year very soon! Please can anyone let me know if they have (or know how to get hold of) any dry logs or kindling. We are based in Nutley, East Sussex. thanks in advance!
  8. Hi everyone, we own 24 acres of pine forest which is in pretty poor health and needs to be felled soon. The plan is to fell up to 75% of it, some of it for logs, but the majority for kindling as this seems to be the best way for us to make some money from it. There's quite a lot of already seasoned wood there which we could get to work on as soon as we have all the equipment required. Already have access to a currently vacant and large sheep building which we can use to store the logs and kindling. We're new to all this though so any advice would be much appreciated. Here are some of the questions I'm currently trying to get clear on: 1. What's the best way of going about estimating how much we can expect to make out of it? I realise that this is going to be difficult to gauge reliably, but assuming there must be a way of getting a conservative estimate which we can work to while we're planning. Any useful contacts for this? Any sums I can apply to get this approximate figure? 2. When it comes to processing the wood, it seems that Kindlet and Posch are the brands to go for, which model would you recommend? How often do they tend to clog up and/or need parts replacing? Given that we have a set amount to get through, would you recommend leasing/renting the equipment or buying with the intent to resale? We have 1 heavy duty chainsaw and 1 person licensed to use it, we can transport the logs to the sheep building using either a pick-up truck or trailer, but what other machinery would we need to process this amount in a few months of hard work? How big a difference will kiln drying it make? is it worth investing in buying or renting a smallish one? And how many people do you think we would need to do this? At the moment, we have 3 of us, but others we could pay to help out provided there was enough profit in it. 3. When it comes to marketing and selling, should we be aiming at wholesalers for this quantity or going to local pubs, hotels, shops, etc and selling over a longer period of time? I'm guessing that the bigger players like national supermarket, petrol station and garden centre chains will have contracts with large scale suppliers so aren't interested in smaller/one-off suppliers, is this correct? If so, do you think covid may have created an opening with these buyers who may be looking to stockpile a product that won't go off? Finally, how much would you expect to sell the kindling bags for to wholesalers? And how much to smaller local buyers like hotels/pubs/shops? Apologies for the barrage of questions! Any help or advice on one, some or all will be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to help out

  12. Hi I have a 2003 fuelwood Kindlet. I have to say these are an impressive machine have it from 6 months old. Recently i I have problems with it slow to start and run and stopping as the blade hit the softwood. I got the capacitors checked and they were all done. Changed the start and run inside the box and the black 160-200 one outside the box. Machines is running perfect band ram working when it’s not under stress, but still as it hits the wood it stops. Any suggestions? The machine is at the mark with hydraulic oil. Thanks chris

  15. Hi everyone, We have pallets of kiln dried, neatly stacked kindling available for wholesale. The nets are 38cm by 48cm which give a tighter fit to the kindling and a better overall appearance. We can send pallets anywhere in the UK or collection is available if preferred. It is stacked on pallets made up of 100 nets, but we can put more on if you want to save on haulage costs. Pallets are securely power wrapped with a dust cover so will always arrive in good condition. Available from Near Harlow, Essex. PM for further details.
  16. Hi I am looking for a kindling splitter, hopefully with a single ram and a set of say 5 or 6 knives that the ram will push the timber through. The timber will be either cut-to-length boards or small round logs (also cut-to-length). Ideally I am looking for something that can be manually operated, not electric or petrol driven and also cheap. Anyone know of such a machine or were I could get one, cheers!
