  1. Finally managed to get my firewood situation sorted; Woohoo 🥳 Found a local supplier in the local Nairn area doing hardwood logs at £70 per cubic bag, delivered. That's a nice saving from the £98/£120 per cube quoted by others locally. Six cube ordered and more to come. Got to fill that woodshed 👍 I don't have all the OP details, as the lads still on holiday. But if there's anyone else around the local area that is looking for hardwood and wants more info, message me directly.
  2. hello, The Utilities division of Scottish woodlands Ltd are looking to employ arborists to assist on the SPEN contract in fife and work on other utility projects around the area, we are also looking for surveyors to assist on the SPEN contract, there are opportunity's in both fife and the highlands. employees will be put through the relevant courses if they are successful, such as UA1, UA2, UA5, climbing and rescue, etc. If the candidate already has these certificates that would be ideal. wages will vary depending on experience and qualifications. if your interested and would like more information, contact me at: [email protected] thank you.
  3. Currently studying Arboriculture and Urban Forestry in Inverness and very keen to get my CS30/31. Wondered if anyone is providing training and assesments with assesment location provided by assesor, despite lockdown or very soon after lockdown is lifted? There's quite a few students seeking their basic chainsaw tickets so could put together a group if needed. Also if anyone needs a ground worker in the area, I'm physically fit and willing to learn!
  4. I'm a young Arborist who has been self-employed sub-contracting for the past 4 and a bit years. More recently, I have established myself as Samurai Tree Care and have been getting a few of my own jobs in. I trained and worked in Hertfordshire, but now I'm moving to Inverness for a better life. I would ideally like to walk into full-time employment. I'm very comfortable and responsive as a groundsman and have previously been involved in small scale forestry. I started climbing a while back but only gained the speed and efficiency more recently, I'm still a bit rough around the edges, so I would like to get more experience to better myself. I do love the forestry side, so will be open to any offer of hand felling forestry. I don't hold any large machine tickets at the moment but would be completely open to it in the near future. Full CV is available at request. Email: [email protected] Mob: 07905768752 (send a text first as I'm working between 8am-5pm and can't answer the phone). Hope to hear from any employers or guys working in the area, Could really use any help. Cheers guys, Ben Bruce
