  1. Central Tree Services require an experienced Groundsperson to join their professional team in Port Douglas/Daintree, Far North Queensland, Australia. This is a highly demanding role, but would be equally rewarding for the right applicant. The position involves: - Supervising a tree crew - Competent in chainsaw use and ground based rigging - Maintaining machinery – truck, chipper, chainsaws - MR truck licence - Ability to meet work deadlines and problem solve on the jobsite in often challenging conditions Selection Criteria: - Relevant and well documented experience - Commitment to a high standard of maintaining machinery - A mature approach to work In return we offer: - Well above standard pay and conditions for a full-time role To apply, please send your resume to Jim Scott at centraltreeservices@hotmail.com.   2. This will likely require being a groundperson for 4 to 5 days starting on Monday 26th September so must be able to stay away for several days. Will be travelling from Bath to Sussex and Doncaster over this period to undertake tree surveys for roosting bats. Should have own climbing kit, insurance and climbing certificate available with aerial rescue. All expenses paid including hotels and food.   6. I am currently on a 10 week tree surgery course, I now have my CS30 & 31 certificates, and due to complete my 38 & 39 in the next 5 weeks.
